PixelFlash USB 3.0 SD, SDHC, SDXC, MicroSD Memory Card Reader

PixelFlash USB 3.0 SD, SDHC, SDXC, MicroSD Memory Card Reader and Adapter SuperSpeed

The PixelFlash Memory Card Reader and Adapter SuperSpeed reads both SDHC and microSDHC cards, it also reads SDXC and microSDXC cards.

The PixelFlash form factor is slim and sleek. It comes with a cap to protect the plug. It is narrow, but the cards are inserted along the side. For the microSDHC/XC cards, this doesn’t cause any problems. For the SDHC/XC cards, a card poking out of the side can make it necessary to move the other USB plugs around the ports on the computer or hub so everything will fit.

Although it supports both micro and standard size cards and there are two ports, it can only read one card at a time. The SDHC/XC card is the default. To read from the micro slot, remove the SDHC/XC card. This is not unique to this card reader, it is true of other card readers of this size.

Speedwise, it is comparable to my other SDHC/microSDHC USB 3.0 card reader. I use class 6 SDHC and microSDHC cards, so I haven’t been able to realize its full potential, but it works well in my USB 3.0 port, USB 3.0 hub, and USB 2.0 port.

This is a fine SDHC/microSDHC card reader. It’s small, easy to carry, backwards compatible, and works as it should. Nice.
