Pepperidge Farm Crème Filled Pirouette Rolled Wafers, French Vanilla

Pepperidge Farm Crème Filled Pirouette Rolled Wafers, French Vanilla

Absolutely delicious. My dad bought these Pepperidge Farm Crème Filled Pirouette Rolled Wafers for us. The outer cookie is layers of thin wafers with a french vanilla cream filling. Crispy, light, sweet and elegant. It can really dress up an ice cream dessert. My kids love it and so do I.

Doctor Kracker Garlic Parmesan Culinary Crisps

Doctor Kracker Garlic Parmesan Culinary Crisps

My husband described these Doctor Kracker Crisps perfectly: “It’s like eating a crouton.” Yep, that’s it. They are thin, but hard — like a crouton, strongly flavored with garlic and parmesan cheese. Croutons are good. If you like eating them as a snack, these are perfect.

Kellogg’s Frosted Mini-Wheats Maple and Brown Sugar Cereal

Kellogg’s Frosted Mini-Wheats Maple and Brown Sugar Cereal

I am a huge fan of Kellog’s Frosted Mini Wheats, so when the maple & brown sugar flavor came out, I had to try it. Yes, it’s very good. I definitely taste the maple and brown sugar, but it’s not overly sweetened and is delicious in milk.

SPAM Classic

SPAM Classic

The first time I tried SPAM Classic , it was from a Spam truck giving out samples of Spam sandwiches at a fair. What a great promotion that was. They made a believer in me. It’s so easy to prepare. It can be eaten right out of the can, but I usually fry it up. Cut thin and fried to a crisp is best, but thicker and just warmed up is good, also. I like bringing it along on my camping trips. That way, I can have meat that isn’t jerky and I don’t have to worry about keeping it cold. My son even loves it, and believe me, he is the world’s pickiest eater. So glad I saw that Spam truck.

Oreo Mint Creme Oreo Cookie

Oreo Mint Creme Oreo Cookie

I bought four packages of these Oreo Mint Creme Oreo Cookies to dip in chocolate and they were a huge hit. The mint flavor is a special treat I can only find around Christmas. It has a nice, thick green mint filling (I didn’t buy double stuffed, it’s just the regular size cookie) sandwiched inside the Oreo cookie we all know and love. Together, they are the perfect partners. Great on their own, but amazing with chocolate.

4oz Salt Shaker 3 Pack: Himalayan Salt, French Grey Salt, Pacific Ocean Salt

4oz Salt Shaker 3 Pack: Himalayan Salt, French Grey Salt, Pacific Ocean Salt

Each Salt Shaker 3 Pack comes with three different salts: Pacific sea salt, French grey salt, and Sherpa pink salt. All the salts are fine grain, small enough that they just fall right through the holes on the shaker bottle. The fine grains means a more subtle flavor than a more coarse texture. I personally prefer coarse, but the fine grain is still very good. I have to pour it in my hands to sprinkle it on food or risk having my food drown in salt. Smaller holes on the shaker bottle would be appreciated.

Caking occurred with the Sherpa pink salt, but a little shake of the bottle took care of that problem. None of the other salts showed signs of caking, and I don’t think the flavor was affected at all.

Speaking of flavor, they really pop when I sprinkle the salts on something bland, like French fries. Yum. Pacific sea salt is so much better than table salt. I would choose the sea salt over table salt any day.

Sherpa pink salt. Yes, it’s really pink. I had to look that one up. The Himalayan salt is listed all over the internet as the world’s purest salt. I’m not sure how they define pure. It has so many trace minerals, which is why many people prefer it over table salt. I think it’s a beautiful color, the prettiest salt I’ve ever seen. My nine year-old likes it. She says to write in the review that it tastes just like salt but it’s pretty. Yes, it is pretty, but the grains are fine enough that the color wouldn’t show once sprinkled on the food. It will, however, definitely be a conversation piece at the next dinner party.

French grey salt is sea salt from Brittany, France. It has a grey color, and I think its flavor is the strongest of the three.

What an amazing set of salts for the gourmet cook in your life. I can’t wait until my in-laws see this. I think they’ll love it.

Barilla Ditalini Soup Cuts

Barilla Ditalini Soup Cuts

I made soup tonight with the Ditalini. It was so easy. Just vegetable broth, mixed veggie bits, and Barilla Ditalini Soup Cuts. Voila. The pasta pieces are small. My daughter had them strung on the prongs of her fork. They are the perfect size for soup and taste pretty good. One box makes a whole lot of soup, way more than my family could eat. I should have used half.

Knorr Pasta Sides, Chipoltle Rosa

Knorr Pasta Sides, Chipoltle Rosa

Knorr Pasta Sides, Chipoltle Rosa is rich and creamy with a little bit of kick. Sensitive taste buds may call it hot. My daughter thought is was, but she was able to eat two helpings. My husband wouldn’t touch it, as even Doritos is too spicy for him. I thought it was tasty. The spiral shape gave the pasta more texture and helped hold in the sauce, which was nice and thick.

Just add water, milk, and butter (optional). One pouch is good as a side for three or four people or as a meal for one. It’s so easy. I like easy.

Barilla Mezze Penne

Barilla Mezze Penne

Our family had some Barilla Mezze Penne tonight. I cooked it al dente and it was pretty good. The straw shaped noodles weren’t too fat and they had that perfect bite. My children and husband thought it was fine, although my husband says pasta is pasta. He can’t tell the difference. It’s as good as any other pasta. I do see subtle differences. If it costs more than a competing brand, I’m not sure if those subtle differences would be worth, but it’s a good pasta. I like it.

Eat Your Vegetables Sea Salt Veggie Chips

Eat Your Vegetables Sea Salt Veggie Chips

Eat Your Vegetables Sea Salt Veggie Chips don’t look like veggie chips. They look like pita chips but lighter and more crispy. My finicky son was eager to try it and proclaimed them good enough to get a full serving of it to go with his burger.

The first ingredients are navy beans and dried potatoes. I can taste the potatoes. They’re a lot like potato chips, just a bit salty and a little sweeter. My son said he likes it for the salty flavor. My daughter said they’re a little bland. I think they’re a good alternative to traditional potato chips.
